The Transcriptionist

Here's a cool story for you. As part of my coaching program, all of the coaching calls and all of my one-on-one calls and all of my seminars are transcribed and put online in the download area for my students to read, because while having the audio files is awesome to hear, some people are visually oriented, and so having something to read along with the audio, is even more awesome.

Therefore, I have a transcriptionist. I hired her about two years ago. Her name is Carol. Some of my students got to meet her when we were in Portland a year ago for our quarterly meeting.

I've had transcriptionists in the past. The previous transcriptionist I had was pretty good. She got the work done in a timely manner and she was accurate enough for our purposes, but when I first started talking to Carol and realized that not only was she transcribing these calls, but she was actually hearing and understanding and retaining the things I was teaching, I realized I had hired yet another phenomenal employee to add to my other phenomenal employees. (Kim, I'm talking about you here!)

I'll admit that it was a little scary when Carol and I first met in person because I'd begin telling her a story and she'd already know the ending (stories from my childhood even) or I'd begin to explain a concept of persuasion or my teaching, and she'd say, "Yeah, I remember that from the Cancun seminar." Here was this person I had never met, never really talked to, and she knew an outrageous amount about me and my work.

So here's the story: Carol has another job as an independent contractor for a company out of Washington, DC. (This is okay as long as she keeps remembering MaxPersuasion is her number one priority!) J They have an agreement Carol does work for them and every two weeks they pay her for that work. Problem is, they've had some cash flow problems and are now three weeks behind, almost four, with no indication of when that money is going to come through.

Carol is not used to this kind of B.S. because when she requests a paycheck from us, Kim sends one out that very day.

So Carol sent me a copy of an e-mail she sent to the boss at the other company, a woman she had never had direct contact with, and the e-mail just blew me away. I mean, this girl used embedded commands, criteria, rapport -- just about everything I would have done. My favorite line out of the whole thing was (and I've asked her for permission to reprint this): "It's time to pay me now what you owe me so that you can continue to appreciate my hard work and make good on your end of the agreement."

Okay, so it's not as subtle as some of my more advanced students, and she realizes this, but I'm proud of her and excited that this part time job has resulted in some really amazing skills for her that she might not have otherwise had access to.

Trace Cell Phone Numbers - Find Out Who's Behind That Prank Call Or Who Keeps Phoning Your Partner!

Your Ad Here

Have you ever had a prank call or wondered who is behind that phone number that keeps calling your partner? Cell numbers aren't listed in a book so what are the best ways to trace cell phone numbers online?

There are a few free methods that you might like to try which can sometimes give you the information you need but the most accurate and less time consuming methods cost a small fee.

Method One To Trace Cell Phone Numbers: Use a Search Engine

Use all the big search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Type your search in quotes so that the numbers are searched for together rather than in any order.

If you don't have any success with that try doing a search on classified ad sites and forums where the owner of the number may have used it as their contact number.

Some people put their cell phone number on their profile on social sites such as MySpace or Facebook so you could find it that way.

Method Two: Trace Cell Phone Numbers Using A Reverse Lookup Service.

There is a small fee for using a reverse lookup service but it gives you more information and saves a lot of time. This is probably the best method and some allow you to test whether they have information on the number you have before paying. That saves a lot of wasted time and energy.

These are the two best methods to find the information on the number you are looking for. If you don't want to pay and have lots of time on your hands then use the search engines first and then if you don't find anything you can consider the reverse lookup services available.

3 Unbelievably Sneaky Cell Phone Number Lookup Tricks!

There are some free methods to perform a cell phone number lookup, some of them can be sneaky and illegal which I would suggest you stay away from - there are better more effective methods!

The first method many people start out with is using a search engine to see if the can uncover any details about the unknown number. This isn't always successful and can be quite time consuming.

Sometimes people phone number and act like they are looking for someone. When you ask for the random name they might turned round and say no I'm Bob or whatever there name happens to be.

A cell phone number lookup method that is controversial is pretending to be someone else to get information from the owner of the number. Some people pretend they are updating records and need them to confirm their name etc. This method is not advised, pretending to be another person (pretexting) can be illegal and is only included here for a full picture of the methods used.

A simple method is to phone and ask the person outright who they are. However, if your trying to find out about a prank caller or you don't want to alert the owner of the number that you are on to them if you suspect they are having an affair with your partner then this isn't really an effective method.

The safest and least time consuming method is the use of a cell phone number lookup service.

Trying to do detective work on your own can be a waste of time and land you in trouble. A reverse lookup service charges a small fee for fast and accurate information in a legal way.

Free Reverse Cell Phone Lookup - Is All of the Hype True?

Your Ad Here

A free reverse cell phone lookup is something that more than likely you have heard plenty of talk about. The big question though is, does it really exist?

For years now, companies have tried to start some sort of directory which includes cellular phone numbers. The idea behind such a directory is that it could be used as a phone book of sorts for the cell phone community at large. Unfortunately, there has been a strong resistance from both cell phone users as well as the telecommunication companies themselves.

The reason for this is simple. People that make their calls from a cell number like the idea of the privacy they are given. If they want to remain completely anonymous they are able to do so without exposing any of their private data. Not to mention the fact that a universal directory for cell phone numbers would also expose the telecommunications companies millions of customers to unwanted telemarketing and solicitation calls.

For this reason, to date there is no such thing as a free reverse cell phone lookup. There are however several investigation techniques that can be used to try to trace a cell number back to it's owner though. If you are willing to scour through search engine results you might get lucky and actually find the information you are looking for.

There is another alternative that many people are taking advantage of. What I'm talking about is a reverse cell phone directory which is maintained and updated by privately held companies. When dealing with these types of services you should find one that offers a free initial search. This will allow you to know right upfront whether or not the number you are investigating is contained in an online database or not.

So, while a free reverse cell phone lookup is not readily available, it is possible to find out who owns a particular number. It is just a matter of whether you want to spend your time or a little bit of money to find out.

Reverse Cell Phone Lookup and the Reasoning Behind It

There are many reasons why people try to do a reverse cell phone lookup. Honestly, I am sure at one point or another just about every cell phone owner has wished for one reason or another that they could find out who was on the other end of the phone.

Here are a couple of the biggest reasons people attempt to trace cell phone numbers:

1. Suspicions of an unfaithful spouse - Lets face it, in this day and age most communication is done through the use of cellular phones. Leaving a trail behind on a phone is one of the most common ways that people get busted for having a relationship outside of their marriage.

2. Annoying and continuous prank calls - Making prank calls has been the favorite past time of delinquent teenagers for as long as anyone can remember. The thing with cell phones is though, even though the persons number might show up on your caller ID, many times, you are not given any information to actually identify the caller.

3. Unknown numbers on your cell phone bill - If you are anything like me, when you get your bill every month there are a couple numbers on there that eat up a portion of your minutes that you have no idea who they belong to.

Above, I've listed a couple of the most common reason someone might want to do a reverse cell phone lookup. The actual problem starts when you try to find a resource that will allow you to do it.

I'm sure you have seen the advertisements for sites that claim to allow you to trace a cell phone number for free, right? Well, let me tell you a little secret about those sites. They are lying to you. Basically, once you enter the site you are forced to pay for the results if they are any. This is what they like to call in the sales world, a bait and switch.

When you set out to do a reverse cell phone lookup, you should brace yourself for the fact that you are probably going to have to spend a couple of dollars in order to trace cell phone numbers. In all honesty, if you think about the reasons why you would want to perform a service like this, it is money well spent.

Reverse Cell Phone Directory - When Used Correctly a Directory Can Be the Answer You Are Looking For

A reverse cell phone directory is a tool that many people use in hopes of finding out who owns a particular cellular phone number. Often times, when you mention these types of directories people think of older resources that were once used for land line or even business telephone numbers.

When you are trying to trace a cell number you will not be able to use any of the tricks you used to use to find out who a number belonged to, instead you will most likely be using one of the directories that has been established online for the purpose of do it yourself investigations.

There are a couple of things you will want to pay close attention to when selecting which directory to use:

1. Free Initial Search - Look for a directory that will let you do an initial search at no cost whatsoever to you. This will allow you to quickly and easily verify that the number is at the very least included in their database. This step alone could save you a ton of valuable time.

2. Make sure the directory is geared towards cell phone numbers - Pay close attention to the fact that only certain directories are able to access the cell number database. Therefore, you will want to make sure that the resource that you have chosen contains cell numbers and not land line or regular business numbers.

3. Be prepared to pay a small fee for results - I know you have probably seen the same advertisements over and over again which promise you a free reverse cell phone lookup, but if you have ever tried to follow through, you know there is always a small fee associated with it.

When used correctly a reverse cell phone directory can give you a ton of identifiable information about the owner of any number. The information often includes, but is not limited to the account holders name, the billing address, service provider, service status, and other pertinent information.

What Makes My Mobile Phone Work?

Your Ad Here

The mobile phone has been the gadget that closed the 20th century as having the biggest impact on consumer's lives. Millions of people around the globe are constantly using mobile phones to stay in touch with others. By using this pocket size gadget you can talk to anyone around the world just by clicking some buttons. But have you ever wondered how this amazing device works? Here, is a brief discussion on the working of mobile phones.

Mobile phones work as a two way radio system. When you talk through a mobile phone, it converts your voice signal into radio waves. These radio waves travel from the antenna of your mobile phone to the receiver at a nearby base station. The base station then sends your call through the telephone network until it reaches the mobile phone you are calling.
When you receive a call on your mobile phone, the signal travels through the telephone network until it reaches a base station which is close to your mobile phone. The base station then sends out radio waves that are detected by a receiver in your mobile phone, where these radio waves are converted into speech that we hear.

In this entire process base stations are the most important part of the mobile phone networking. The area covered by Base station is known as "Cell", which is hexagonal in shape. When we move from one cell to another "Handover" occurs, breaking connection from the previous base station and making a new one from the current base station which may take some seconds. When all the channels of the base station are occupied, no more calls can be transmitted or received from that particular base station.

Apart from talking, mobile phones are having various functionalities that differentiate it from a regular landline phone like SMS, Web browsing, GPS, games, mp3, FM radio, camera etc. So while sharing your brilliant ideas or just gossiping with your friends via your mobile phone just imagine how it is actually working!
